This sandstone sculpture was carved by hand from a solid block of stone. Following an old craft tradition, the stone is worked with classic stone sculptor's tools: hammer, mallet, and chisel. Each animal is a unique piece and therefore cannot be reproduced exactly 1:1, just as stone is a natural product and always varies slightly in color, porosity, and inclusions.
The sculptures are made from St. Margarethen sandstone, which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (e.g., garden, terrace).
